Hi there! I’m Ryan, an Accounting student currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. I’m passionate about learning new things and dedicated to making a positive impact wherever I go. This website is a space where I can share my journey and experiences with you!
My journey has been anything but ordinary. From my early days as a student the first time, to joining the military and becoming a father, I've learned valuable lessons about discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
Over the years, I've developed a diverse skill set ranging from some basic IT and Cybersecurity to hitting a target from 500m. Whether it's leadership, problem-solving, or working under pressure, these experiences have shaped my expertise in life.
Looking ahead, I aim to finally get my degree and share my story. My goal is to continue growing both personally and professionally, making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.
Serving in the military has been a defining part of my life. During my deployment in Okinawa, I was honored to receive the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal for my contributions to the unit's success. The experience taught me not just the value of hard work and discipline, but also the importance of stepping up when needed. There were times when leadership wasn’t readily available, and I found myself naturally taking on a leadership role to guide and support my fellow Marines. This experience helped me grow both as a leader and as an individual, reinforcing the lessons of resilience, adaptability, and teamwork that have shaped who I am today.
I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy through Herzing University Online. This program has given me the opportunity to balance my studies with my military commitments while building a strong foundation in accounting principles. I’m excited to dive deeper into financial analysis, auditing, and tax law, and I look forward to applying these skills in my future career. The flexibility of online learning has allowed me to challenge myself academically while continuing to serve, and I’m eager to bring my knowledge of finance and accounting into a professional setting once I graduate.
